Althea Braithwaite

Fused Glass Artist

My Studio display

I now concentrate on working with glass. Nine years ago I acquired my first kiln and now, with two kilns I am having enormous fun, fusing glass to make exciting dishes and other objects. I also use fusing when designing windows and doors, which I make to commission. I continue to experiment and try new things. Recently I have been concentrating on making wall hanging pictures, they are mounted to hang about 40mm from the wall, to give wonderful reflections on the wall behind, some examples are shown with my other fused glass pictures.

I will be opening my studio, together with Edward Parker, during July for Cambridge Open Studios. We will be open from 11 am to 6 pm on the weekends of 10-11, 17-18 and 24-25 July. We look forward to welcoming you with a cool drink. It is usually possible to visit my studio at other times, but please phone or email me, to make sure that I am around, and to get directions of how to find me.
